We talked about Android TV quite a lot these last couple of weeks, and we see no reason to stop just now. As traditional TV’s are quickly being replaced by ‘smart’ devices, we cannot help but wonder how long until all standard TV sets go extinct. It might be a bit premature to talk about the demise of an entire tech branch, but we’re getting there rather fast.
Yesterday Hisense launched their H6 smart TV, a device that features a Marvell ARMADA 1500 PLUS HD Media processor and an Android 4.2.2 OS. The H6 comes available in three different sizes, the 40 inch, the 50 inch, and the 55 inch screen. It also features Energy Star 6.0, 1 GB of RAM, and the capacity to run Hisense’s Social TV and Cloud Services apps.
Interestingly enough, H6 comes with a voice-controlled remote that has an air mouse capacity, both useful abilities for a remote nowadays. Hisense also took the opportunity to release their Pulse PRO set-top box, a device that packs most of the H6’s features, as well as USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth, and WiFi connectivity.
